Accessibility
Last reviewed:
We want everyone to be able to settle where to eat. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA for the DinnerSwipe web app (app.dinner-swipe.app), the iOS and Android apps, and this website.
What we do
- Every swipe has a button that does the same thing, so you never need to drag.
- We never disable zooming.
- Buttons and other controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Our colours are tested automatically against WCAG AA contrast, in both light and dark mode.
- Animations respect your device's reduce-motion setting.
- Cards, buttons and controls carry labels for screen readers, and focus is always visible.
- You can use DinnerSwipe without creating an account or remembering a password.
Known gaps
We would rather tell you than have you find out:
- We have not yet completed a full manual pass with VoiceOver, TalkBack and a keyboard alone. Automated checks pass, but they do not catch everything.
- Large text sizes in the iOS and Android apps are only partly tested.
Tell us about a problem
If something gets in your way, email support@dinner-swipe.app with "Accessibility" in the subject. Tell us which device and assistive technology you use and what you were trying to do. A person reads every message, and we aim to reply within a week.
